Tiffany Scott is the new Training Director for Umemba Health Academy!
Tiffany has served as the Vice-Chair of the Maryland CHW Advisory Committee since 2018 and the first Maryland CHW Ambassador to the National Association of Community Health Workers in 2019.
Tiffany currently serves as the Co-Founder and Chair of the Maryland Community Health Worker Association and she has worked as a CHW, CHW Lead, Care Coordinator, CHW consultant, student coordinator, and master trainer. Tiffany has extensive expertise mentoring and supervising CHWs and has trained over 500 Community Health Workers.
As the first certified CHW in the state of Maryland, she has had the opportunity to work in various practice settings including Federally Qualified Health Centers, Managed Care Organizations, Non-Profit Organizations, and national organizations.
Tiffany believes that CHWs have the “special sauce” to impact the communities they serve in ways that are unmatched. She believes CHWs are vital to the movement and delivery of health care, social, and communities' services.
