Virtual CHW Symposium
The Virtual CHW Symposium was an all-day event designed to support Community Health Workers to deliver equitable, coordinated care. Certified CHW Instructors tackled important topics like Social Determinants of Health, Team-Based Care, Cultural Competency, and more. Umemba Health was proud to support this event with project management, event promotion, curriculum development, instructor recruitment, and CE distribution. Diabetes Equity Training
A powerful, interactive workshop designed to equip healthcare professionals with the tools they need to understand the social drivers of health (SDOH), address biases and systemic barriers in diabetes care, advocate for equity in diabetes prevention and management, and more! eLearning Course for the Epilepsy Foundation of America
The Community Health Worker’s Training Curriculum for Epilepsy Self-Management was adapted into a 6-hour elearning course from multiple on-demand ECHO recording sessions. The curriculum consists of 6 parts that can be taught in a half-day, full-day, e-course, or 6 lunch-and-learns.

Training & Technical Assistance for the National Association of City and County Health Officials
We supported Local Health Departments across 50 states to build organizational capacity integrating Community Health Workers. We provided training and technical assistance through large group trainings, resource development, office hours, and 1:1 coaching for health department leaders.

Instructor-Led Training for the University of Arkansas
We developed and delivered a half-day in person training on Health Coaching and Motivational Interviewing for 45 staff employed with the University of Arkansas's Department of Community Health and Research.

Community Health Worker Certification Course
Our "Essentials" CHW Training Curriculum is a 25-module all-in-one training solution that features detailed lesson plans and PowerPoint slide decks with speaker scripts and prompts. Each module also features built-in activities and recommended self-study assignments. Develivered in a Learning Managment System (LMS).

Train the CHW Trainer Workbook
We developed a 100-page training manual designed to acclimate CHW Trainers to the Community Health Worker profession. The workbook also serves as a step-by-step blueprint to help aspiring CHW Trainers get started training Community Health Workers in the core competencies. The workbook is divided into 5 chapters:

Curriculum Development and Virtual Instructor-Led Training for the Medical University of South Carolina
We developed a 12-hour training curriculum on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer and genetics for Community Health Workers for the KEEP IT (Keeping Each other Engaged Program via IT) study. The training was conducted over three, 4-hour training sessions.
